The Collective will be sponsoring its annual model contest at the annual Farpoint convention. First, Second and Third Place ribbons will be awarded to the top three overall winners. As usual, the categories are: Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Horror. Entries can include figures, vehicles, ships, props and dioramas. Models must be built by the person entering them. Entries will be accepted at our dealer table until noon on Sunday. Awards will be given at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Contact us with any questions or stop by our dealer tables during the convention. Hi-Way Hobby a hobby store in Ramsey NJ, is hosting their annual Sci-Fi Weekend where they showcase Sci-Fi models built by John Payne & Eric Lonstreet and others. They also have model kits for sale from Star Wars, Star Trek, Space: 1999, Battlestar Galactica, and more from classic & current sci-fi arena. This is a great place to visit for kits and modeling supplies.

The Collective is making its annual trek to attend Wonderfest and also to see friends that we only see once a year. Wonderfest is the biggest sci-fi modelers convention with a large model contest judged by the best modelers/professionals in the business. There is also a huge dealers room where you can buy your favorite kits, parts and other accessories. With workshops, panels and more, there is plenty of programming to keep you busy. If you love modeling we highly recommend this convention.
