Shore Leave 29 Convention - 7.13-15.07
Shore Leave is a sci-fi
fan-run convention held every July at the Marriott Hunt Valley Inn, Hunt
Valley, MD.
The Collective hosts a "Make it & Take it" Workshop at
this annual convention.
| In addition to
the Polar Lights 1000 scale snap-together kits, this year we had an
advanced-level modeling presentation by Eric Hawkins. Many tips and
techniques were demonstrated to the more experienced
modelers. | ||

Many modelers of various ages enjoyed themselves building the TOS, Klingon or NX-01 model kits. Members of the Collective were present to help them with the kit assembly. We even had a returning young modeler from last year, eager to try out another kit. | ||

We also had our dealer tables at our usual spot with various models for sale. | ||

The Shoreleave costume contest brought out some super costume ideas. And our friend Sonny Wright out did himself again this year by building a life-size replica of the Stargate with some cool effects! | ||
