Event Reports - Giant Star Trek Models

Star Trek: The Experience in Las Vegas, NV - 8.16-21.06

These are pictures of the huge models hanging from the ceiling at Star Trek: The Experience in Las Vegas, NV.
We visited The Experience several times during our stay in Vegas in August 2006.
We were attending the Creation 40th Anniversary of Star Trek convention.

This is the big refit Enterprise over the entrance to The Experience. This huge model dwarfs the actual filming model. The paint scheme seems to be fairly accurate however it was too high up for a close up look.

The Klingon Bird of Prey had a wing span of about 10-11 ft and it hovered over the registration area. The paint scheme seemed pretty accurate as compared to the filming model.

The Voyager hung over the open area above the Promenade. It was difficult to get close to it, but it looked very nice.

The huge Enterprise D hung just above the Trek timeline museum so we were able to get closer to it. It had familiar markings and a nice accentuated paint scheme, although it was not the same as the filming model.

These are photos of the 350 scale TOS Enterprise produced by Master Replicas. They had a booth at the convention with this prototype on display as well as other items that they produce. The model comes lit with pulsating warp engines. It's very accurate to the filming model. Pricing starts at $1100 and is available now for purchase.

These are photos of a dealer booth at the convention that carried many built models.
