Farpoint is a sci-fi fan-run convention held every February in the Baltimore MD area.
The Collective hosted a model contest at this annual convention with ribbons awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

The Starship Farragut fan film group was present at this con with trailers of their debute episode. Their fan film is based in the TOS era with a different ship & crew. John Broughton, Captain of the USS Farragut, commissioned Jim Pugliese to build a model of the Farragut.
The USS Farragut was built from an Ertl kit with custom decals from JT Graphics.
