What's New with Us
We can't believe that Summer is almost over...it was hardly seen! This was the summer of rain, rain, and more rain. We mowed the lawn alot and got only a little pool time...althought the rain helped to keep our pool full of water, very full. The temps didn't get that high either...but we're not complaining.
We enjoyed several car shows in the area this summer but many were rained out. We traveled to Maple Grove track for Super Chevy Weekend in July and the Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals in August where we meet Morgan Lucas, Ashley Force and Tony Pedregon in person.
We saw several movies this summer, mostly Sci-Fi of course. We were not impressed by the Star Trek Movie in May. Wolverine and Terminator: Salvation were okay but not great. We also went to the Franklin Institute Science Museum in Philly for the special exhibit Star Trek: The Exhibition...unfortunately we were not very impressed with the small exhibit, but it wasn't bad. We were grateful to have the movie and the exhibit but felt that they were very inferior productions.
In May we traveled to Louisville KY for the annual Wonderfest model builders convention. The hotel had been renovated in the last year and it was not bad at all. We loved all the models and have hundreds of pictures to post to our photo album. We also attended the annual Shore Leave convention in Hunt Valley MD this past July as dealers and sold alot of models. It was a great but busy convention.
Now that the summer is coming to an end and the grapes are rippening on our vines, we are looking forward to Fall. September starts off with our 13th wedding anniversary. In October we are planning to visit several haunted houses in our area and we will have our annual Halloween Party on October 31st. Bring on Fall!
